It really looks like the construction industry is gathering momentum and gaining confidence on a weekly basis at the moment, which has been a long time in coming. August sees a steady flow of smaller residential projects coming into our office, in the form of house extensions and renovations in Ilkley, Baildon, Roundhay (North Leeds) and Burley-in-Wharfedale, a planning application for five mews type houses in Howarth, along with initial feasibility studies for some larger commercial projects, these being located in Runcorn and Immingham respectively. After five or six years of contraction, and then stuttering along, it is encouraging to see potential larger building projects finally coming to life again, and hopefully now the construction industry will grow rapidly and go from strength to strength.
On site, we have a number of projects now nearing completion. These include a whole house renovation in Middleton, Ilkley, a lovely bespoke new dwelling in Baildon, near Bradford, Phase III of The Fosters development in Sheffield, and a number of house & kitchen extensions in Leeds.
August looks set to be a busy and interesting month for us, and we’ll no doubt be adding more completed project details, photographs and 3D visuals in due course…..
