blog: latest news for January 2013…

The new year sees us commence stage 2 of one of our architectural commissions from last year, The County Hotel in Immingham. Following the very well received refurbishment of the existing hotel restaurant and bar, the client is focusing his attention on converting one of the existing outbuildings (a former fire station) into a bespoke wedding and function venue, which we are due to start design work on imminently. We will also be uploading a number of ‘as-built’ photographs of the refurbishment into our projects page shortly.

In addition to this, we have recently submitted pre-application enquiries to both Leeds and Bradford council’s planning departments for eco-friendly residential architecture proposals, which both feature the use of a number of green technologies. We are particularly excited about these projects as they will hopefully provide us with opportunities to promote new and sustainable design features within the scope of works. Look out for more updates during 2013.

We have also secured a number of new architectural commissions in the form of residential extensions and conversions in Baildon, Ilkley, Bradford and Roundhay in North Leeds. Coupled with the anticipation of a number of projects due to be completed on site this month, it all makes for an exciting January….
