blog: latest news for june 2013…

Early June 2013 has seen the submission of a number of planning applications, one of which is for an exciting and interesting residential scheme in Pudsey, near Leeds, which will consist of four eco-friendly timber framed houses comprising many renewable elements such as ground source heat pumps, solar panels and kitchen composting facilities. The planning application has now been submitted to Leeds City Council. Architecturally, the dwellings fuse a number of traditional and contemporary elements. Elsewhere in Leeds, we have submitted an application for the conversion of an existing eight bedroom student house to form 5 new apartments, and we will be providing updates over the coming weeks and months.

We have secured a number of residential architectural commissions in the form of house extensions and loft conversions in Baildon and Ilkley near Bradford, as well as in Alwoodley, Horsforth and Roundhay in Leeds.

In terms of architectural projects on site, our last update provided details of a new-build project in High Green, Sheffield for South Yorkshire Housing Association, and this is now progressing well. Works are also well under way with a large extension and full-house refurbishment in the Middleton Conservation Area in Ilkley, as well as the imminent commencement of a large house extension and alterations in Menston, near Ilkley. Our project page featuring a new dwelling on Hazebrouck Drive, Baildon will also be updated in the coming weeks as building works are now practically complete on this project. June is shaping up to be another busy and exciting month for us….
