If you have recently applied for planning permission for a proposed extension, new house or change of use of a building, and your application was refused, then you will no doubt feel dispondent and dejected. However, many areas of planning law and planning policies are subjective and open to interpretation, meaning that another pair of eyes may see things differently. Furthermore, local planning authorities, simply put, often get things wrong with little or no regard for the outcome. If you have recently been refused planning permission you may want to consider lodging an appeal to the planning inspectorate.
Here at Mash Architecture we have worked on numerous appeals over the years, many of which have been successful. Our planning experience often allows us to formulate a robust case to support proposals which have been refused at local planning level for spurious reasons. We would be happy to discuss your appeal and offer a free initial consulation if this is a route you are considering. We would no doubt be able to advise on the likelihood of success at the initial meeting.
