Our extensive full refurbishment and restaurant room extension at The Spite P.H. (soon to be renamed The Roebuck) on the northern outskirts of Otley, near Leeds, is now nearing completion. The shell of the main extension is practically complete, with the new timber framed windows and doors currently being installed. We are particularly pleased about the quality of the external materials, in that they match the existing building incredibly well.

Internally, the layout is rapidly taking shape. Imposing feature reclaimed timber trusses are the focal point of the restaurant room, along with the reclaimed brickwork internal walls, whilst in the existing pub, the reclaimed brickwork will also be used to clad the existing chimney breasts incorporating interesting soldier courses and herringbone coursing arrangements.

The window seat is also currently being installed to the front elevation, along with the green oak porch, and generally, the building works being carried out by NRG Developments of Ilkley, are of the very highest standard. This project has represented one of the most exciting and rewarding architectural commissions we have worked on in recent times, and we are certainly looking forward to the grand opening and uploading finished architectural photographs this Spring…..
