blog: the roebuck enjoys successful first year…

It is preciseley a year since The Roebuck Pub, just North of Otley, near Leeds, opened it’s doors to extremely positive reviews after we had provided it with a complete overhaul and significantly extended the original pub to create a delightful country pub / restaurant. We’re pleased to say that, 12 months on, the venue is going from strength to strength and establishing itself as one of the leading destination food pubs in the North Leeds / Harrogate area.

The Restaurant Extension which was added on to the rear of the original pub.

We were originally appointed to provide Architectural, Design and Project Management services by the client in February 2011, and after a successful, but tricky, planning application was lodged and eventually approved by Harrogate Planning Department, we carefully set about comprehensively designing and detailing the venue. Building works were carrried out, expertly, by NRG Developments of Ilkley, and the venue opened it’s doors to the public in June 2012.

Charming decor and artifacts are aplenty…

The venue is run by Mr Chris Payne, a highly experienced restauranter, and offers a wonderful selection of wines, real ales, and exceptional traditional English food with a twist. There are a number of separate and very individual rooms within the venue, to suit a quiet pint, a romantic meal, or large family gathering and a fantastic beer garden and sun terrace enjoy the stunning views across the Wharfe Valley. The Roebuck is a delightful venue, either in Winter or Summer, and we couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome….
