blog: latest news for September 2012…

September looks set to be a really busy, exciting and interesting month for us. We have a number of projects commencing on site at roughly the same time, and we always find it rewarding to see buildings start to come out of the ground after so long going through planning, building control etc. etc.

Our pair of contemporary semi-detached dwellings in Cottingley, near Bingley have recently commenced on site. So too has our large two storey side extension and full-width rear extension in Ben Rhydding, near Ilkley. A project we are particularly excited about as it will be constructed using ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms). We will no doubt be uploading some progress photographs into our next architectural blog.

A new recording studio extension to an existing dwelling in Liversedge, near Huddersfield has also commenced on site in recent weeks, and again is something we are excited about seeing develop. The design mixes traditional architectural form and materials with some unusual contemporary bespoke details. We are also looking forward to the commencement of our 4 bedroom detached dwelling in Baildon, near Bradford which was featured in our “Hazebrouck Drive” project page, and will also be the subject of future blogs and architectural photographs, once completed. Works are due to start before the end of September.

We have a number of new architectural commissions on the drawing board, including a new-build detached dwelling in Pudsey, near Leeds, along with a similar new-build development in Baildon. We have also recently submitted a planning application to Bradford Planners for an exciting residential development in Idle, which if approved, will consist of 7 attractively designed traditional detached dwellings. In addition to this, we are involved in a number of residential refurbishment / extension projects, one of which is an exciting architectural commission in Holt Park, Leeds, details of which will be uploaded shortly.

All in all, a busy month. I think it’s time I bought myself a new camera as we’ll certainly need it……
