It’s pleasing to see our design concept for Harrison Family Vets being rolled out across multiple locations around England. We came up with the design concept for the recently formed Harrison Family Vet practice in the summer of 2021. We worked closely with the Harrison’s managing director, Tim, as well as Graphic Design Company, PMD Creative Solutions of Bingley, West Yorkshire, to formulate the bespoke design fit-out concept, which would be used on Harrison’s first vet’s practice in Reading, and then would be used for further fit-outs across the country.

We were commissioned to provide architectural and interior design services consisting of bespoke display designs, fixed seating booth designs, floor and ceiling finishes as well as lighting concepts, culiminating in a detailed set of design drawings. PMD assisted with signage, font and graphic designs. The Reading store opened in late 2021 and has thus-far been a roaring success.

Since the successful opening of the Reading branch, further practices have now been opened in Stockton-on-Tees, Kingswinford (West Midlands) and Didsbury, near Manchester, with several more sites earmarked to be developed. The concept centred around a comfortable, welcoming environment with focus on the well-being of pets, as many pet-owners are only too aware that a trip to the vets can be a daunting experience for both animals and owners alike. Customer feedback has suggested that our interpretation of the client brief has been more than successful.

We are pleased that we were able to offer our design expertise and input into this exciting concept at the very beginning of the process, and it’s encouraging to see our client’s new business going from strength-to-strength. We expect more branches of Harrison’s to open during 2023 to similar positive responses as the ones rolled out so far.
