Project brief:

This project is an architectural commission which we started working on in summer 2015, and comprises a very modern addition to an attractive, traditional detached house. Our client’s brief was for us to create a striking aesthetic, which would take a contemporary form with contrasting materials, and which would juxtapose nicely against the traditional architectural language of the original house.

We developed the internal plans and external elevations to suit our client’s aspirations and then successfully obtained planning permission, via Bradford Council, at the first time of asking, and with the full support of the planning department. As the extensions are located on the rear of the property, we saw this as a nice opportunity to create something quite bold, in terms of design and architectural language.

We now have planning consent, and we are looking to develop the scheme and commence building works during the summer of 2016….
