Project brief:

A very enjoyable Architectural project which we undertook in 2012. The property was a traditional styled stone house in Halifax, constructed in the 1980’s and enjoying wonderful views over a nearby valley. Our brief was to open up a rather disjointed ground floor layout, and introduce some unusual features which included quite a bit of coloured stained glass, and splashes of colour within other elements elsewhere. A fairly neutral colour palette was decided upon for most of the surfaces however, elements with bright and bold colours, in various arrangements, were sensitively introduced which added certain focal points to the various rooms, as well as a sense of fun.

We particularly enjoyed this architectural commission, and enjoyed working with our client, as she had some interesting and unconventional ideas, which were fun to develop and enjoyable to see them come to fruition.
